16-19 Bursary Fund
The 16-19 Bursary Fund is a fund available from the government to aid students whose access to, or completion of, education is inhabited by financial constraints or barriers.
The bursary fund is a limited fund and the school will provide support to students based on level of need and the number of applications received.
Application for 16- 19 Bursary will be open to apply from Monday 02 September 2024 and a link will be uploaded on this website nearer the time.
All applications must be submitted by Monday 30th September, any submissions after this date will not be considered.
There are two types of Bursary Fund that students can apply for. To apply for the funding, students must meet one or more of the criteria listed:
1. Vulnerable Award
Students aged 16- 19 years old, who are in care; are leaving care; are in direct receipt of income support or universal credit in their own name or are in receipt of both Employment support allowance and disability living allowance or Personal Independence Payments.
2. Discretionary Award
Students aged 16-19 years old, who are economically or socially disadvantaged and facing the most significant barriers to participate in education.
