Catch-up Premium & Summer School
The Covid Premium 2020 was introduced by the Government as a response to the unprecedented learning time lost in education as a result of the COVID-19 national lockdown and school closures.
The COVID premium, replaces the previous Catch Up funding for English and Maths and is a one-off universal catch-up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year. It aims to support pupils to catch up for lost learning so schools can meet the curriculum expectations for the next academic year. For secondary schools/academies the government has allocated £80 for each pupil for Year 7 to Year 11 for the academic year to support the school to deliver catch up activities and support.
