Proud to be part of

History

By studying the past, we can make sense of the present and plan for the future. In history lessons at St. Mark’s our recurring big ideas are DIVERSITY, GOVERNMENT, GENDER ROLES, THE ECONOMY, PROTEST, RELIGION, INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS and CHANGE. We study societies and events from all over the world from ancient times to the present.

We are lucky to be in Mitcham (which we study in KS3) and we have regular enrichment trips into London where the pupils can visit places which they study as part of their curriculum in history.

History is a very popular option at GCSE and A-level at St. Mark’s. We use the AQA examination board for assessment.
